Which format should I pick?
MP4 for a video that plays everywhere (phones, WhatsApp, social media). WEBM for the web. MOV for Final Cut or iMovie. MP3 to extract the audio, FLAC or WAV for perfect quality.
How do I make a video smaller?
Pick MP4, “Light” quality and 720p. A phone video often goes from 200 MB to 30–40 MB, handy for Discord or email.

Why a 30 MB download the first time?
For formats other than MP3 and WAV, the page loads a conversion engine (FFmpeg) that runs in your browser. It's cached afterwards.
Is there a size limit?
No imposed limit. The only limit is your browser's memory: videos of several hundred MB work on a recent computer. For a very large file, use trimming.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, on recent Android phones and iPhones, but a computer is much faster for videos.
