Subtitles

Automatic subtitles, free, without uploading your video.

Drop your video and the AI writes the subtitles right on your computer. Fix what you need, then export an .SRT or a video ready for TikTok, Reels and YouTube.

  • No sign-up
  • No length limit
  • Your video stays with you
  • About 100 languages

Three steps, no sign-up

  1. Drop your video

MP4, MOV, WEBM or just an audio file. It opens in your browser and isn't sent anywhere.

  2. The AI writes the text

The speech recognition model runs on your computer. The first time it downloads (about 80 MB), then it stays cached.

  3. Fix and export

Click a line to replay it in the video, fix a word, nudge a timing. Then export as .SRT, .VTT, .TXT or a subtitled video.

Why it's actually free

Other sites upload your video to their servers and pay for every minute of processing. So they charge you, or cap you at 10 minutes.

Here, your own computer does the work. It costs nobody anything, so transcription stays free and unlimited. And since nothing is uploaded, private videos stay private.

An .SRT file is plain text with start and end times, like the one on the right. YouTube, Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut and VLC all read it.

Questions

Is it really free?

Yes. Transcription, editing and .SRT, .VTT or .TXT export are free and unlimited. Pro, a one-time payment, removes the watermark from exported videos and unlocks advanced styles.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. Transcription runs entirely in your browser. Only the AI model is downloaded (from Hugging Face), once. Your video never leaves your computer.

How long does it take?

It depends on your computer. With a recent graphics card and Chrome or Edge, a 10-minute video takes one to two minutes. On an older laptop, expect roughly the length of the video.

Which languages are supported?

About a hundred, including English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch, Arabic, Turkish and Polish. Pick the language before starting: it's more reliable than auto-detect.

How do I add subtitles on TikTok, Reels or Shorts?

Export the video with burned-in subtitles and post it as usual. Pick the "Short, 1 line" format before starting, it reads best on a phone.

And on YouTube?

Export the .SRT file, then in YouTube Studio go to Subtitles, Add, Upload file. YouTube keeps the captions toggleable and translatable.

Which browser should I use?

Chrome or Edge on desktop, ideally. They use your graphics card and are much faster. Firefox and Safari work too, more slowly.

Paste your license key (sent by email after purchase) into the Pro window. It works across your browsers.
